Seasonal cocktails are so much fun! They make the changing of the seasons into a celebration. We Nirvana Girls love our booze, especially when its locally made, so we knew we had to make something truly special with the Maple Whisky we bought from Park Distillery in Banff. Enter the Whisky Sour with a taste of fall. Maple, cinnamon, and a twist of refreshing citrus, makes this one a new favorite!
I made cinnamon simple syrup by simmering equal parts water and white sugar for about ten minutes with a couple sticks of cinnamon in the pot. You end up with a warm golden colored liquid which smells delightfully of cinnamon!
Whisky Sour With a Taste of Fall:
- 2 oz maple whisky
- 2 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz cinnamon simple syrup
- 1 oz maple syrup (cause we’re Canadian eh!)
Mix well and pour over ice. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy!
