Ahhh, summer! It’s the season for basking in the sun and drinking refreshing, fruity cocktails. Summer in Alberta, Canada is long awaited and short lived! That’s OK, we know how to make the most of our short summer season. This Black Cherry Bourbon Lemonade is definitely on our list of things to enjoy on the porch.

Lemonade

I use an organic lemonade for the base to this drink because I prefer the flavor to artificial lemonade. I punch it up a bit with some lemon juice, as I like my drink a little tangy and not too sweet.

Bourbon

Black Cherry Bourbon is not hard to find. It’s readily available at most liquor stores. If you are like me, you may wonder “should I buy this? Will I ever use it again?” The answer is yes! You absolutely need to try this. You won’t regret buying it and it won’t languish in the back of your booze collection. It is nice with coke (think cherry coke, yum) and it makes a fabulous, boozy, adult milkshake! (Your welcome!)
