Last summer I spent a weekend exploring the Alberta Badlands with a friend. The landscape is so breathtaking, that these photos in no way do it justice. However I felt the need to use these beautiful photos in a post so here we are. There are photos from Horseshoe Canyon, as well as Dinosaur Provincial Park. In the park we spent time wandering the interpretive trails, and were lucky enough to enjoy a guided walking tour called Golden Hour with an amazing guide with a wealth of knowledge. I cannot recommend the tours enough. You get to hear so many stories, facts, and also you get to go off trail and into the park itself! But enough of my rhapsodizing, here is the Alberta Badlands Photo Book!
Can you find the rattlesnake hidden in one of the pictures? Spotting him was a highlight of the trip! He definitely deserved to be featured in our Alberta Badlands Photo Book. When you think of Alberta, the mountains and ranchland immediately come to mind. I have to say that it was a thrill to experience this diverse landscape also found close to home. I recommend you plan a trip and watch out for snakes!
