Todays cocktail offering is a Lemon Blackberry Whiskey Sour. Now in the spirit (pun intended!) of full disclosure I am not a bartender. I have no real idea how to name the drinks I make. I do know good flavor combinations though, and lemon blackberry is one of the best! Today, I just took a look in the liquor cabinet and the fridge and winged it. This Lemon Blackberry Whiskey Sour is the happy result. It tastes damn good, even if I do say so myself!

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Whiskey
  • 1 oz Lemoncello
  • 1 1/2 tbsp blackberry simple syrup
  • dash of lemon juice
  • tonic water to taste
  • fresh blackberries to garnish

Instructions are simple. Add ice and enjoy! We always recommend sipping your Lemon Blackberry Whiskey Sour on a patio for best results! (Pro tip: simple syrup is made by simmering equal parts sugar and water for 10 minutes. I simply added some muddled blackberries and strained them out after. You can also do this with citrus peels, spices such as cinnamon, or herbs like lavender.)
